What is Glaz-Shield

Glaz-Shield is an advanced protective coating applied to shower glass by trained professionals after the glass has been tempered. Powered by EnduroShield®, this invisible treatment creates a durable, water-repellent barrier that helps protect the glass surface from staining, mineral deposits, soap scum, and other contaminants commonly found in shower environments.

By reducing the adhesion of water and buildup to the glass surface, Glaz-Shield makes cleaning easier and helps maintain the clarity and appearance of your shower enclosure over time. Backed by a Limited Lifetime Plus Performance Warranty, Glaz-Shield is designed to provide long-lasting protection and superior water repellency compared to untreated glass without the need for specialty aftercare products or reapplications.

Glaz-Shield Care & Cleaning Recommendations

To maintain the appearance and performance of Glaz-Shield protected glass, we recommend a simple weekly cleaning routine to remove soap residue, hard water deposits, and other common contaminants before they accumulate. Because Glaz-Shield does not require the use of specialty cleaning products, you are free to choose the cleaning solutions that best fit your lifestyle and preferences.

Our Recommendations Include

  • After each use: Squeegee or dry the glass. This makes it impossible for spots to form, and significantly reduces cleaning time, effort, and frequency.
  • Weekly: Dampen a microfiber cloth and add a dollop of liquid soap, wipe the glass, rinse and dry. This will remove soaps, oils, fats, conditioners, and many other materials.
  • As needed: Dampen a sponge or Magic Eraser with white vinegar, wipe the glass, rinse and dry. Saturate the pad as needed until minerals are removed.
  • Nearly all consumer-grade cleaning products are compatible with Glaz-Shield, including: alcohols, ammonia, solvents, CLR, green cleaners, and generic safe spray cleaners such as Glass Plus.
  • What Not to Use:
    *Avoid products containing abrasives. This includes polishes, toothpaste, water spot removers, rough, or gritty substances.
    *Avoid extremely alkali products with a PH over 12.

The Glaz-Shield coating, powered by EnduroShield®, is backed by EnduroShield's Limited Lifetime Plus Performance Warranty. Building upon EnduroShield's 10-Year Performance Warranty, the Limited Lifetime Plus feature extends coverage by warranting that properly maintained Glaz-Shield treated glass will remain more water repellent than untreated glass throughout the life of the glass. The coating is also warranted against cracking, peeling, and discoloration and does not require special revitalizers or aftercare products to maintain warranty coverage.
